We were honoured that a Dutch Health Ministry representative, Paul Boom, was present for the launch of ECOs directory of cleft services in Europe, the European Cleft Gateway which was officially re-launched on 8 June in Utrecht, Netherlands. The Gateway was originally funded by a grant from the European Science Foundation through the EUROCleftNet programme which culminated in 2016. The new directory has multiple search functions for different categories of user and allows users to add their own data. The launch was kindly hosted by the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht and coincided with a meeting of a new European cleft health professional association and a meeting of the EU-funded  European Reference Network for craniofacial anomalies. A live demonstration was presented to the latter group who welcomed the resource as a great tool for encouraging collaboration amongst clinicians, users and researchers.  We are currently seeking EU funding towards ongoing maintenance and development costs.  You can visit the Gateway here
